New York Comic Con 2019 Thread10172

I hear their hourly rate is outrageous! sportshort private msg quote post Address this user
@drchaos,

I didn't know there were any free autographs available what with all the vip packages (see L.A. comic-con) most of the vip package "celebs" will not have any other autograph opportunities (free or small fee). Oh well, c'est la vie.

@drchaos I won’t be going but a few of my books are. Not getting anyone big, just a couple of sigs on a Harley Quinn and Gotham Academy books. I am super excited because I’ve lined up a couple commissions from an artist there. One is a quick head sketch that should be done by the end of the show but the other is a more complicated piece that will take a few months just to pay off lol

That would be a negative. However, there are some facilitators who are Authorized Witnesses for CBCS who will be in attendance. Trinity and Clan McDonald are two that come to mind.

is CBCS intentionally skipping NYCC or are they not allowed to be there?

EDIT: As in CGC having an exclusivity deal or something.

been searching around, seems the cgc exclusive ends after this year. I guess having an offsite place didn't workout previously, so they're skipping (CBCS)

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
@GAC yeah, it's a ReedPop event. CGC exclusive.

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user

I really hope Al will be signing at his booth in artist alley as well. I have over 100 of his books that I would like to get signed.

I have more books for him than any other artist at the show.

Working on roughly three hours of sleep. Almost ready to load up the car and bring all of my stuff to the show.

When it rains the next two days I will have everything at Javitz ready to go.

What a show!

Last purchase of the day was two Wonder Woman # 600 variant covers for $7 each.

All of my other purchases were exclusives and books sold by the artists in artist alley.

Easily spent most of my money on signatures.

Just waiting to help my friend break down his booth before I head home.

Its been a rough year for me collection-wise but I had a good con, mostly because it was too damned crowded to move around the show floor and Maleev took my commission and hence most of my cash. I was VERY pleased with the results though. Honestly, I was psyched to finally meet Jim Mahfood, I absolutely loved his late 90s early 2000s stuff, that was a time when I was getting bored with comics and his stuff at Oni was a bright, fun light in a dark time.

A 100 books? Do you witness for other people?
