My guarantee pick of the week: Kansas City in a close shoot out.

My Upset pick of the week: Minnesota in a defensive battle.

Changed my pick to the Browns after learning that Sam Darnold is out with mono from making out with too many boys.

With the news that Jets QB Sam Darnold is out with mono, I am officially changing my Monday night pick to Cleveland.

If Carolina's offensive would be as effective as their defense, they'd be near impossible to stop!!!

Looks like nobody took Tampa Bay tonight. What a sloppy, poorly played game by both teams. I knew they were both mediocre teams, I just thought Carolina would be a little less mediocre at home.πŸ˜‘

AT&T U-verse dropped NFL Network over the summer. I streamed a couple minutes of it over my cell network (CAR kicked a FG to tie it 3-3), but I'm not wasting data on it. Used to be able to stream over Wi-Fi with a Verizon plan. I'll wait until week 4 when the games transition to Fox, since there should be a few good ones during that time. Good being relative since TNF is very hit & miss in quality.

Same here! I don't care for either team, and though I anticipated Carolina to win, I was rooting for TB.

Thanks, Jesse. Having fun so far. Lions missed an extra point and a field goal and are trailing 10-6 at halftime. I thought I heard something about the Vikings trailing 21-0? What the heck is happening in Green Bay?!?

Yeah, it's Vikes 10 - GB 21 right now with :51 left in the first half. You'll hear all about the touchdown that was called back because of an offensive pass interference that was called in review. In short, the Vikes were screwed out of a TD and settled for a FG.

Both the Redskins and Vikings lost today.
I'm bummed out as well.

@Pre_Coder Even if you take out the bad officiating, the Vikes shot themselves in the foot. We had our opportunities and made dumb mistakes. Our defense held the Packers offensive after that first onslaught, but our offense just wasn't clicking. The only bright spot was Cook. He's a beast!!! But, there are still a lot of games to go. I'm still confident in them!!!!

Here are the scores so far. And have I mentioned that I'm glad I'm not a Dolphins fan??? If I haven't, I'm saying it now!!!! LOL!!!

@Jesse_O yeah, this is going to be a very long and depressing season for Miami. That entire team will be loaded on Prozac.

@Studley_Dudley after how hard you played last week in one of the hardest stadiums to visit. I thought you would get SF at home.

Wow!! Is that late in the 4th?? I don't think I've ever seen a stadium that empty during a game.

@PhantomEwan I've been a fan since I was a kid. Moral victories don't count in the NFL. Hats off to SF. Their D is stout. That front 7 was freakish.

@Jesse_O Nope. That was about 10 minutes before kickoff. Trust me, the fans here want a winner but we've been kinda "Bengalized" by the franchise. It's hard to stay excited when you always know it's going to end in disappointment.

I need to start doomsday prepping.

Another sloppy game by the Bears. Feels good it was won they way it was after last years debacle.

I was hoping after years of mediocrity under Marvin Lewis that the Bengals would break out. Tyler Boyd is underrated. I dont think he dropped a ball thrown his way.

I can think of at least three separate times Marv should have been fired. It took way too long. I thought he was a good coach and definitely what we needed after the total ineptitude from 1991-2002. He turned it around but showed that he was never the guy to get the team over the hump. Constantly losing games in prime time, losing to the Steelers all the time, but beating the Browns & Ravens consistently, and of course the playoffs.

As for Zac Taylor, I think he's brought a fresh energy. It's going to take time though. The O line is trash, and we have no LBs outside of the starters. I like Andy Dalton as the QB but this might be his last year since this was his last guaranteed year on his contract. Anything over 6 wins would be overachieving for this squad. 4 to 5 may be more realistic.
