I also never received my $25 off for the survey, even after contacting Customer Service & being told it would be re-sent.

I've got a yahoo address and have not had any problem getting CBCS emails, until this one. It went to my spam folder.

I don't like receiving unsolicited emails. I don't believe in a "push" system of marketing.
The site should have an RSS feed for all promo specials and let people subscribe to the RSS feed. That way I can have my email program (Thunderbird) check the feed and grab all the updates like an email. The difference is, I can unsubscribe or re-subscribe as the whim entertains me. That way only the customers that are interested will get the announcements.

I typically don't even read CBCS emails. Instant delete. An ad isn't going to "sell" me on anything.

@X51

I have never dealt with RSS feeds. I used to deal with email in my former life.
People use email for everything. Instead of cloud shares, they will shove a 5 meg document into an email. Quite a few folks thought outlook's cancel send actually worked. Some folks feel AOL email is the best thing since sliced bread.

My point is, people are accustomed to using emails. Just because a few users found ways to be more efficient, doesnt mean their way will get traction.

Am I reading the fine print correctly...discount is for just one single spider-man book per submission? So I have 20 books I would like to get graded...I would have to submit 20 separate orders (20 different shipments) to get the discount for each book?

it sure looks like the promo can be interpreted in just the way you have have interpreted it. I hope you're wrong and it's for all spider-man comics during the promo period. I would also like a clarification so that there are not the usual rude awakenings.

You still get the message in your inbox. The difference is that your mail program (or feed reader) goes out and grabs the posted information (if you choose to do so) rather than the other person sending it to a thousand people who flag it as spam. RSS feeds are efficient and unobtrusive. Email solicitations contribute to the multi-billion dollar spam problem in the world.

I think it means you can only apply one code per submission. So you can't try to get double Spidey discounts, or combine Spidey with a 20% off deal that might happen to come up. But any one submission can have the discount on every Spidey book in the submission.

I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time) but looking at the following, It seems to me that the offer is good for as many Spidey books as you want to submit, but you can't use any additional promotions.

Why not just implement any specials right on the web site and the online submission form? Given the lack of customer service CBCS currently employs this has the makings of another confusing mess.

Definitely a "low-tech" way of doing things but I haven't had any problem using promo codes that were hand-written on the invoice after I printed it out.

I guess it is encouraging to see somebody from CBCS trying to given some customer support.

Exactly how are you affiliated with CBCS? Are you a paid employee? Do you work at any of their offices or just an online presence?

Do you have access to any of the CBCS logistical data (where books are at in the grading or Shipping Process)?

I guess what Im getting at is do you have any power to authorize any changes in the grading, quality control shipping or billing process?

@BigRedOne1944 Since it may be a day or two, before @Darryl_H checks back in, I will let you know that he is a full time employee of CBCS who works at the Dallas headquarters. He is often sent out to cons to run the booth. I'm not really sure what his title or daily responsibilities are, I'll let him answer that, but I figured I'd let you know that much at least.

Thanks for the comments, and as Jesse said I am a full time CBCS employee and have been working with CBCS in one form or another since 2014. I worked in Florida for a spell then spent 4 years working shows before transferring to the Dallas location last year.

I currently work shows, and during the week work in house with production among other things.

We know we still have issues, and are working to correct these.

You should be seeing a big improvement in customer service moving forward, be it in getting faster call backs, and quicker responses to your emails. The other issues (Quality, Billing)
are also being addressed and worked on.

We have a great team in place at CBCS, and plan to continue improving on every aspect of our service!

If you have any more question, please let me know and I am always available if you guys need anything.
