Is that the regular cover. I pre-order one but might have to get another. Digging that cover.

It is the regular cover, from all I have read. it is set in the future after earth apparently is done, and the hulk has become the devourer of worlds ...or something to that effect. I saw the advance cover, a few months ago and ordered like six copies in case it moves fast.

That is probably the best advice anyone could give.

Now, my freaking problem is all the stuff I liked, the masses came to, but que sera sera...

Yes it is different. I don't buy Hulk comic to read a story about him being Galactus. That's why they are two different characters. This is just as unimaginative as making a red Hulk. It's just pathetic. If someone offered me $4 to just read the comic I'd tell them no.

It does seem to be the current trend to take a hero, and make him dark or mix him with another hero: Batman who laughs, Gwenpool, Silver Surfer Black.

However, sometimes some good things come out of it. It took me a bit, but all the multiversal Spider-Men have grown on me.

but....you haven't read the comic...you don't know what they do or don't do or what he is or isn't...you are making negative and dismissive judgements without having read the story, seen the art, or given it a fair chance.....truth be told , every comic character , each and every one steals in some manner from something previous. The hulk you say...well wasn't he based on Solomon Grundy? If one applied the level of negativity you are to this , no one would ever read another comic book, nor collect them.
No worries about the four dollars, I doubt anyone is lining up to pay you to read a comic you are willing to dismiss without ever opening the cover, or seeing the art.

Here's the deal....
When a dog craps in the yard I don't sit around trying to find something good about it. I evaluate it for what it is and I walk around it. I avoid it. The whole concept that was described is stinking garbage. The concept does not deserve a "fair chance". I've never seen anything that stated Hulk was based upon Solomon Grundy. Regardless, this is not even a matter of stealing or swiping. My gripe is that the concept is completely idiotic.

A few years back someone described a story about "Spider Island". These ideas that ferment at Marvel are pure trash. There is no evolving universe where every event matters. It's just garbage that'll be replaced with more garbage in six months.

I'm saving money by not buying this stuff. I have zero regrets.

by your analogy however, you know what crap is, because you yourself produce the same product as does every living thing on earth. You have a profound familiarity with that product. I myself dearly hope you don't spend a lot of time finding positives about it...but even then there are some
First , it fills a biological need for the animal
Second it provides sustenance for creatures lower on the food chain that consume it for nourishment, thus giving your environment balance.
Finally since the dog did his thing in the yard, it wont be splayed about a park or street for people to get in their shoes
Notice all those positive things your example missed?
Your understanding of what this comic is and is not , is based entirely off the cover and a single line of descriptive text. You are literally judging a book by its cover no less. It is your opinion to state the concept does not deserve a fair chance, but then based on your posts, most people, ideas, concepts and comics do not deserve a chance either. I can accept that....
and the positive I see in this is that there will be more copies of this comic for people who still have that sense of wonder and enjoyment for new stories, new themes and new things in comic books.

As for Solomon Grundy being the inspiration for Hulk...its well known, been stated for years and even at a glance its somewhat obvious how similar they are.....compare Mcfarlanes early artwork with Infinity Inc, drawing Solomon, to his later work drawing the Hulk when you aren't busy watching the dog out the window as he takes a dump in the yard, and you just might for once find something more fascinating and less revolting than an animals bowel movement.

As to your final comment about spider island and everything at Marvel being trash....nonsense. You spew hatred at all new comic books without buying any, nor reading, understanding or knowing what is being released. There are many indeed that are highly touted and turn out poorly done..but there are also many that do something unique, that manage to tell a new story, or ideal or share some new artwork that is stunning. Those are few and far between even I agree, but they do happen and its a worse and more rainy day for all of us watching you constantly toss out the baby with the bathwater ...creativity and artistic wonders do happen even in comic books even today, even at Marvel and sadly you have spent so much time observing the dog empty his bowels you have somehow confused the two events. On the plus side, I hope that means you wont be stepping in any comic books.

I don't feel I wasted my time, but if I had it is mine to waste …. Others will learn from and benefit from understanding better, and likely wont step in your dogs business out there in the yard.....and being whiny and sensitive about crap after you drug it into the conversation doesn't do much for you either....take care and thanks for your comments

Moving past that "crap" did anyone see the upcoming Minotaur cover, for I believe issue 27? Looks to be a classic fight issue...excited for that as well.

Few of Marvels new titles come out the gate as hot as this one did and sustain that for over 20 issues, but as this one keeps going it appears they have a winning idea.

Immortal hulk is a fantastic read and i can't wait to see what he's doing a billion years in the future in issue 25.

No one is obligated to read it but would recommend to anyone who enjoys reading a fun , over the top tale with a bit of graphic horror thrown in for good measure .

just thumbed through a copy of this...it takes some pretty different twists and turns. Might be unfair to suggest that Hulk being the breaker of worlds is somehow a copy of Galactus once you read it...did anyone sit and count fist appearances for this one issue by itself??

As for Immortal hulk 25 I think it has some potential..the story is pretty ….different...very different

I found myself laughing out loud the first half of the book with all of the unpronounceable character names doing weird things. It got a little better when the Hulk showed up.

Just a weird story.
