Due to "spoilers" they have cancelled the panel.
Click or Touch here to read all about it, video in link as well.

Sadly, I'm okay with it. Want to walk into the movie with an open mind. They are lucky I/we even plan to go after the last shit show they offered.

Fine with me. I don't even want to see trailers, though they're really not made for me since I'm an automatic ticket sale anyway.

Often some of the trailer scenes aren't even in the film, or it's edited in a way to give a false impression. I'd rather have no impression than to be given a false impression.

Reason I posted this thread is really not because I cared if they canceled the Star Wars panel or not.

It's the fact that Ian McDiarmid and Hayden Christensen are together (and been hanging out together) meaning Hayden will more than likely be in the final episode; either as the Force ghost of Aniken, or something of that nature.

If they were worried about spoilers, it probably means Disney does not have an agreement in place with at least one of them. That would mean that they aren't in the movie. Contrast to any of the other huge movies from the past few years; everyone in them knows what they are and aren't supposed to talk about with the press. Maybe they accidentally drop a spoiler anyway, but Disney (or whatever company) has at least talked to them.

OK, and what about all the slips that Tom Holland has made? I'd bet he's got an agreement in his contract not to say anything. Better safe than sorry.

Like I said, sometimes a spoiler is dropped anyway. But they still have Holland go out and do publicity. Maybe they put some Disney flack with him, or team him up with someone who helps keep him from talking too much, but they don't cancel panels.

Maybe they just wanted to generate free press about the movie. If that was the case, they got the fanboys panties bunched up over cancelling the panel. Disney got a bunch of free press, and people yapping about it on social media.

Maybe it's just me and my proclivity for being obtuse but knowing that Hayden is in the movie really doesn't tell me much about the plot. I don't consider something like that a spoiler. But, again, that's just me.

Publicity fills seats. Controversy is one of the most effective forms of publicity. @Towmater just said what I was thinking.

BTW.... everyone is always saying Luke (Mark Hamill) will return as a Force Ghost.

Now they are saying that Anakin AKA Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen) will return as a Force Ghost.

Why is it that people are not saying that about Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid)?
Everyone's saying "Oh ***** he's still alive!"

Because the Emperor is a prick who learned how to prevent death from Darth P.

I've always thought that he was going to be a ghost, though.

There's 3 options for Palpy:

1) He cloned himself
2) He's a Force Ghost
3) He's a hologram projection they'll encounter in his Throne Room on the sunken Death Star ruins.
