Thanks! Being both from Malibu and having Spawn as my favorite comic book character I figured I finally needed to get a nice looking copy of this. Some people hate on it since it's not the first cover appearance or first appearance of Spawn but I've always wanted this in my collection.

@sportshort
There was 7 of us and I was the oldest. Let’s see I have memories of rock and a stick. Of course my mother like all moms in the 50’s & 60’s. Threw my baseball cards, comics and coins out when I left. Everything I had saved was under my bed so out went the bed and all after I left. There was no returning to stay anymore.
But. She had a attic full of her harlequin
Romance books we found after she passed.
Lol. But alas none of my stuff made it.

Lust? Yeah, list lust... same difference when it comes to comics!

Great books. Quick question, though. Does the strike through on the UPC affect value?

From what I recall, those were usually in bags of three and you bought them at Toys R Us or toy stores.
I've got a few of them, too, and always wondered.

the line through the barcode is the first direct edition. More rare than the newsstand at that time

@esaravo...I picked this one up because it just was too good a price to pass up and contains a character Sony keeps threatening to make a mediocre movie with

Correct me if Im wrong, but isn't it a pretty tough book to find in high grade like that?

Besides, I think people make way too much fuss over all this First appearance that and First Cover This stuff.

I think people miss out on many of better looking issue's when they limit themselves to just those "Key Issues", which many times are not even the best looking issues.

Oh Well... to each their own!
