Last year (maybe 2 now?) I was in Seattle for a friend's wedding and saw that the MoPOP had a Marvel exhibit. I couldn't carve time out from seeing friends to do the museum, but now the exhibit is in Philadelphia at the Franklin Institute https://www.fi.edu/exhibit/marvel-universe-super-heroes . The Franklin is a cool science museum on its own so I went with the family this past weekend to play with stuff and see the Marvel exhibit. If anyone is in the area, I would say it's worth checking out. Here are pictures I took of some of the stuff there.

A copy of Marvel Comics 1. It's pretty impressive to think that an 80 year old comic would hold up well enough to be a 4.![]() |

Similarly, a page of the original art from Marvel #1 is still around. Apparently it's the only page though.![]() ![]() |

I enjoyed seeing the original art the most, especially when you could see more of how the sausage gets made. You can see parts that were cut out and put together here for the issue number, Cap and the Black Panther, etc.![]() |

A Luke Cage hoodie and some Daredevil gear. They also had suits worn by David Tennant and Vincent D'Onofrio. I thought the most interesting things about the TV/movie outfits, besides the craftsmanship, was to see how big the actors are. Tennant looks to be kind of a small dude, and D'Onofrio is a good size but not as big as he looks on film. A lot of the actors, even when they look big like Chris Evans, are still really slim.![]() ![]() |

And the most recent movie last, some Captain Marvel. All the art they had for her, to the best of my memory, was from Kelly Sue Deconnick's collection.![]() ![]() |

Thanks to this trip I also learned that there's a moderately famous guy named Eric Roberts who is *not* an actor.
