I screen-shot these images from an Instagram user that I follow. He saw this book at a con recently. I've seen some horrible cases of new CGC case induced waviness, but this is next level stuff...

And to think CGC charged for that AND what's worst is that somebody actually paid good money for it. Sad, very sad. :-(

Why did they switch cases? Their previous slabs were almost as good as CBCS's. Almost.

Their plastic manufacturer went under, they decided to take that as an opurtunity to redesign. Unfortunately for everyone it seems the main goal of the new design was cost savings instead of book protection.
