You're not gonna let me keep my money, are you?

You'll be getting my Wolverine #1 for Miller. Also looking for Rubenstein and Claremont on the same book if you can swing it.

@AndyRexia is that a mistake on the ink color? I have a high value book that I really want to get signed, but I'm nervous about leaving it in the hands of someone else. i'd lose my shit if they used the wrong ink color

Depends on your definition of a mistake. I prepped the book and requested those colors. I sent the books to Trinity Comics and Matt contacted me about the color choices. He said Frank Miller basically does what he wants and may or may not sign the books in my choice of color. I told him that was fine as long as he didn't sign in black (it would blend in with the background). Matt assured me he would do his best to get Frank to sign in gold. Matt delivered what he said. I'm more than happy with the results. I don't mind at all that my choices weren't used because it looks great the way it is. Sometimes you're taking a risk when getting autos. I.E. Stan Lee smudging his own signature or the person signing uses the pen they already have in their hand which isn't the color you requested. I believe it's worth the "risk" and so far I've never ran into any problems. *knocks on wood* This is my second time using Trinity Comics and they are the only place I will use for these kinds of services.

@shrewbeer if you decide to get a book signed, I highly recommend prepping the book first. Make windows in the bag and label it so you get the signature where you want it. This way someone isn't signing over top of another signature. I always request sharpie and no paint pens. I've read not good things about paint pens.

I would recommend sharpies as well. If you do not give paint pens the proper time to dry, they have a higher chance of smearing. Couple this with people who man handle books while signing.....

as a longtime autograph collector I always recommend BLUE sharpie. Not pen, not marker, not paint pen.

Black sharpies over time bleed out a ugly yellowish β€˜halo’ around it.

All sharpies are alcohol based and will not be there forever, but BLACK fades quicker than most colors.

Therefor , I choose Blue..;-)

IMHO, I probably won't have any autographs on the covers. I still appreciate the bottom of the splash page signatures!

We only use sharpies for signings. On dark covers we go silver or gold.
