Cool books that hit my grading desk.........9890

I don't believe this....and I know you don't care that I don't believe this. GAC private msg quote post Address this user
@southerncross I wouldn't say I love them but they certainly don't turn me off.....I guess I'm indifferent to them. They do convey a cool mental image where a Newsie would have stamped a stack of books...

Same here. I'll take that date stamp anytime... along with the book of course.

I'm with you, I don't care where it's placed or if it has a store stamp, I usually try and look up the store to see if it is still open. I enjoy the tiny bit of history that date/store stamps convey.

I actually love them also. And if there is a store stamp on it, that's even better! I think they make the comic more individual and more interesting.

Wow those colors are popping for a GA book.

Does that factor into grading?

Really the opposite, faded or fading hurts the grade on otherwise high grade books.

I won a lot of great stuff in the latest Comic Connect auction but one of the books that got away from me was a Miss Fury book that I was bidding on.

Those Atomic Age into early Silver Age DC books are just impossible in high grade. Always pleased to see one survived in nice shape.

That's my dream, except as pence copies so I can afford them and swapping one of the Avengers #1 books with an FF1.
