Also can be said some who share specs get easily offended if others offer differing views or ideas as well...happens all the time these days.…..

I love talking specs. People get offended with everything. I enjoy talking specs and comics. Someone can suggest a spec and some might agree and some might not. I like these discussions. Gives different perspectives on comics and characters.
Perfectly said here....different perspective and views on comics and characters, is how we all learn, or least most of us, couldn't agree with you more on this Moodswing...

I just made it out to see the movie. Agree that it was good and a lot of fun. Also agree that the spec stuff doesn't make any sense. But then I find a lot of the spec stuff to not make any sense.

The movie does make it more likely that Talos will stick around and be in Captain Marvel 2 (at least), but doesn't make it more likely that he'll be any more important or popular than Maria Hill (I had the same thought before I read moodswing's comment), Professor Selvig, or any other character that's popped up throughout a few of the movies.

On the other hand, if you know the spec before other people know the spec you can at least make money off the spec suckers, I guess.

Mysterio isn't dead. He'll be back. That's his thing. He's a master of illusion and special effects, just like in the comics. The movie brought him to the forefront using a hook from Tony Stark's fake childhood memories invention called "BARF". It was a clever way to make you look in the background and say "Aha!"

I finally saw this movie last night. It was okay.
I liked it better than Endgame and much better than Captain Marvel.

Overall though, I was still disappointed.
I guess I don't go to a Spider-Man movie to see a teen angst romantic comedy.
The first part of the movie bored me. Peter's friend in the movie just annoys me. Anything that comes out of his mouth is useless dialogue.
I really didn't like the movie until Mysterio started explaining everything. We know Mysterio from the comics, so connecting the dots with a well communicated attitude redeemed the movie for me.

In hindsight, I don't understand how ANY of the characters relate to the 50+ years of history in the comics. Other than by name, the characters are not the characters in the comics.

Aunt May is a hot aunt, not the frail old lady to be protected.
Mary Jane has the personality of a shy goth girl that doesn't dress up. In the comic she was a confident extrovert that wasn't afraid to say it.
Spider-Man is more of an Iron Man character wearing Stark designed outfits.
Mysterio is also more of an Iron Man character.
Why is "Happy" even in the movie?

Why is this movie a sequel to Iron Man?
I'm starting to be glad about Tony's fate in Avengers.
I starting to detest the character and hope they never show him again.

Mysterio was not a disappointment. The rest of the movie was a disappointment.

I spent more attention tracking Gilfoyle in the movie since that story was more important that the one involving Spider-Man.

@X51 Did you watch the previous Spider-Man movie? It would have prepped you for everything you were disappointed about.

Yes. The Vulture was excellent. The boat not sinking was stupid.
