IMO, the seller CLEARLY recognizes that there is no way that the comic inside grades as a 9.6... going to great lengths to make it clear that s/he is not responsible for the condition of the book inside the holder. 😆

It's these kind of posts that drive me bonkers. WTH?
Is this the original comic in the original case? If so, my gosh - how can that be a 9.6?
If not original comic and it was swapped, I guess because it's the old type of case that (reportedly) can be compromised?

I never heard anyone say in essence in the listing, “if you don’t agree with the grade in the slab, take it up with the grading companies”
Lots of scammers, everywhere

Yep... that is a total load of B.S. and fear he is a big time scammer.
The one aspect that either really really bothers me or helps justify his position is that all his listings say the same thing. So is he swapping all his books; most of his books; some of his books?
The rest he is selling look legit grades and he has the same wording in the listing as this Batman 12

Some of those dont appear colour breaking...is this a case of that mystical pressing reversion??
Post 15 IP   flag post
Collector GanaSoth private msg quote post Address this user
@KatKomics ah so your saying that the magical press goblins might have paid this comic a visit late one night and depressed the pressed bends? And being that the comic could have been subjected to higher amounts of humidity, thus allowing the wrinkles to come back after a while from its initial pressing?

Is there a way for CBCS to look up this comic and see if it was once pressed?

Edit:
from what I can see, the are about four color breaking spine bends, a few others that don't break color, but the four I see are definitely enough to make it a non 9.6

def not a 9.6. case does not have any heat seals so def possibility that comic has been swapped.

given how easy a cbcs case can be opened only a stupid person would crack one open.

Red flag

Look at his other items for sale...Jungle Action #6 is listed as 9.4 but it is clearly not. I am sure this seller is fully aware of his scam job.

What is even more sad is that it is only bidders with few feedbacks who are bidding for this book

I will say this, even if the book is VF 8.0 if it sales for less than 200.00 then that is a steal.

Seller’s description also stares that:

“But If you find you are not satisfied with the purchase of an item for any reason besides the incorrect item being shipped,(Ex: Item Not what you expected, Item Not as described, Item Arrived Damaged, etc.) a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund upon issue & the buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping.

Looks like they are trying to discourage returns, but eBay actualling stipulates that the seller pays for return shipping on “Item Not what you expected, Item Not as described, Item Arrived Damaged, etc.”

If only there were a way (other than this) to warn bidders when eBay doesn't perceive a problem.
