Cash grab or a good idea?8580

What do you all think about this?

Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) announces that it has expanded its Signature Series program to include the authentication of signatures on prints. This much-anticipated program goes into effect at Emerald City Comic Con (March 14, 2019).

I'm leaning toward a good idea and look forward to CBCS doing the same. Helps preserve and authenticate prints.

Get ready for signing fees for CGC witnessed sigs.

Actually it’s a cash grab but also a good idea for certain signed prints!

I got this today too. Cash grab but people want this.

I'm sure CBCS has this planned at some point, both authentication and verification.

i have some signed Starlin prints but honestly I'd rather frame them in a nice frame.

If I had the equipment and material, I'd be making custom made frames so you could slide the prints into to hang on the wall

@OGJackster not a bad idea, frames really make artwork pop!

I guess......

Won't it look kinda silly for Landscape prints?

So are they essentially opening up the door to authenticate celebrity photos at conventions?

@Paulbg2000
That door has been open for a while:

Um...dynamic comic displays

They do prints too. And, if you need something to a custom size, just send them exact measurements. They can customize anything you want. I prefer their wood frames (that are also the cheapest), but they have some really nice acrylics. There are options for UV protection and non-glare covers (which I obviously did not do).

It's a great idea, the only alternatives to dynamic I see are the super cheap crap on amazon that look terrible.

I'm not sure if that's a wedding dress, or a hookers role play costume.
