Hi everyone, last week I bought this beautiful copy of ASM 300.
In your opinion, in what grade is it?

Hard to say without seeing back. I see slight spine roll, spine ticks. Bottom left corner dinged. I'd roughly say 8.0

Looks about the same condition as mine and mine got a 7.0 even after press.

In my opinion it's a 7.0 or a 7.5

@ZZXMAN You should also show the interior page quality and the staples on the inside at the centerfold.

@ZZXMAN Now seeing the back and the spine ticks carrying to back, I'd agree.

I'm in search of a good possible 9.8 copy myself. Only reason I got this first one was because the seller I bought it from off ebay was selling ASM 252 with it.

By the way, does the comic has color touch above the left eye of spidey?

Yep, that looks like color touch. In my opinion, I would avoid this book if you are looking to purchase. But, if it's your copy that you've had forever and ever, I'd say it's a 5.0-6.0 restored with amateur level restoration color touch and due to the 16 spine ticks I counted along black spine

Here's my 9.2 and it's got 4 spine ticks and a tiny bottom spine split for comparison

I feel very fortunate mine graded a 9.6 with the black spine and back cover

The seller says that the comic is not color touched. I'm hesitating if it's or not. I have examined it with a flashlight and with ultraviolet light and I am not sure. Could be fingerprints because the comic is full of these, or it's evident that it's color touched?

in the left of the spidey head, it looks like it could also have color touch.

So, what's in the head of Spidey do you think is touch color?

@ZZXMAN - I could be wrong, but I don’t think there’s any color touch to Spidey’s head. There is no bleed through on the inside cover, and I can see a faint eyebrow shadow on my slabbed copy (no Newton rings/oil slick on mine, Mike, but it’s only a 9.0).

looks like a 7.0, if you send it to PGX it'll be a 9.8

Finger prints, no touch.

But the prints probably keep it less than 8.0...maybe cleaning would help, but prints are usually there to stay.
