G.I. Joe #2 & #3 - No Staples8312

Collector GanaSoth private msg quote post Address this user
I totally forgot I had these.
G.I. Joe issues #2 & #3 without staples.
I remember when I picked these up back in 2001, I said to myself "what are the odds?"
Looks like they have staples at first glance due to the flash; look closer.
Thought I would share this with you guys.

I have never understood why this is considered a flaw by CBCS.

Is it? I would think it would be noted as an error book with no grade hit. How do you hit a grade for something that doesnt exist? 🧐

Is that in all the issues? I need to look at my copies.

@Hexigore it was in my issues. I don't know if there was a lot with this error, but I thought it was very strange that it happened on issue #2 & #3.

Without the damage staples would do, this should be a 9.9 or a 10! lol

My Avenger #19 volume 1 has only 1 staple with no staple hole present. Sometimes these things happen. I believe the Overstreet grading guide does not consider it a negative flaw.

I believe staple mishaps have occurred for years. I have a copy of X-Men #29 that looks normal.

But don’t judge this book by its cover. Look inside and you see it was stapled twice. Once without the cover and then again with the cover.
