Got this first appearance of Deathstroke a while back and noticed if I angle the light correctly there is an impact mark. Zooming in on the image it looks like there is some color breaking but when zoomed in it looks like more of a spine tic. I was wondering it pressing would help diminish this defect. Comic has 1 more very small spine tic and a very small corner ding. Was hoping to get around a 9.4 when I eventually submit and press.

Pressing will not remove the color break, but it will diminish the blemish somewhat.

I figured it would smooth it out. What affect do you think that blemish would have on the comic? NM still possible? From the naked eye it wasn't very noticeable until I directed the light on it.

It was a one trick pony show but always hilarious. GAC private msg quote post Address this user
Dont think NM (9.8) is a possibility with the length of that colorbreaking blemish.

9.4 or 9.6 I think is possible, assuming the rest of the book is NM.

The rest of the book would have to be flawless, even then it’s prob 9.4 at best.

Lest we forget 9.4 is Near Mint people! Color breaks are not allowed in that grade and only a 1/16" crease is allowed

NEARMINT TO NEARMINT-9.4 TO 9.2

This book is an excellent copy with great eye appeal.

It is vibrant with supple pages. The spine may have a couple of very small stress lines that break color.Minor creasing. The spine is almost completely flat. The cover is relatively flat with almost minimal surface wear and the cover inks are generally bright with medium to high reflectivity. The staples may show some discoloration, but it's not too noticeable on first glance. The inside pages and covers usually will be off-white/white, but can be cream/off-white with the absence of other defects.

Huh? This makes absolutely no sense.

Wonder if I should drop some more cash and buy the comic already slabbed at a 9.4. Looks like a 9.4 is around 240. I paid 100 for my raw comic.

I can probably throw up the cover. Hate taking comics out of mylars. Had the old slice the comic once when I was putting a comic back.

Thought you could make the leap of NM to 9.8...my bad.

Need more photos. For the image supplied, no, pressing will not help or fix.

First you say: "NM not possible with the length of the color breaking blemish"

Then you state: 9.4 or 9.6 is possible, assuming rest of book is NM

Now you state: "leap of NM to 9.8"

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about?

Perfect...and we'll leave it at that.

This would be the best way to go IMHO.

Might be out of my price range now. I would think a 9.0 is at least possible, maybe 9.2.
