Let’s assume the rest of the book has no issues.... what grade would this get and can a press fix it?

Ouch! It's hard to tell if there's a color break but yes, a press would most likely help it out. The results would determine the grade so only seeing the corner, I'd give it a 9.0 or better if the rest is solid.

I'd go 8-8.5

Cgc 8.5 to 9.4. I think 9.2 if they like you some.

I had a serious "fold" in batman 357 and got it to press to a cgc 9.6. The cover stock of some of those older comics seem to be a little more forgiving when pressed though....and it was on a white part of the cover so not as noticeable.

I'm guessing 9.2 after a press...with a low probability of 9.4, depending on how much color breaking there is...hard to tell.

Both companies would go 7.5. (1) crease like that goes down to an 8.5 with (2) then its a 7.5. You might be able to press them out but the spine ticks might survive the effort. 9.6 or 9.4 in that case.

If there is color break, you are looking at a 8.5-9.0.
