| It's not air. It's a bending of light waves as they pass through two different layers, and types, of plastic that are juxtaposed. It results in a prism-like optical effect. There is no harm to the comic itself. It just looks bad. |

| CBCS slabs can have newton rings as well but it doesn’t happen as often because the CBCS isn’t designed to hold the comic via pressure like the CGC case is. In the event that a CBCS book does get newton rings, they can usually be removed since CBCS cases aren’t sealed all the eay around; just pry the plastic apart slightly until the outer case pulls away from the inner well, tus removing the ring effect | ||
