| A friend of mine belongs to another forum that shall remain unnamed. We share info from each forum. I feel that with all the help you guys have given me in the past, I should share this with you guys. I myself have yet to have had a problem with Midtown comics. Here is what he sent me. Guy posted complaints about midtown. Said when the Image 25th Anniversary boxes were announced, he bought from them. Paid in full and set up shipping. When they were released and became an instant hot item he says Midtown reaches out to him and demanded an additional $150 prior to shipping. He refused so they never shipped or refunded. He had to file a dispute with his card to get the $$ back. This along with the story I read on this site how they were slitting bags open checking for valuable inserts is troublesome. I hope they straighten these issues out if true. Thanks for reading. |

| I ordered one from midtown and had no problems. I do however have a problem with the quality of their books and slowness of their delivery despite what shipoinh method i use. | ||

| Yep, I never had a problem like that but I stoped using them about a year ago. Slow shipping and my books were always banged up. I would call for replacement and they would eventually send them and 50/50 those would be banged up as well. I use Atomic Comics now, mostly because I like how they have their site set up and how easy it is for me to pick my covers. | ||

| This is interesting...a few weeks ago I was praising them...I was getting very high grade books and fast shipments...suddenly over the past few weeks their shipping has been very slow, and I've been getting a lot of damaged books...not from shipping, but prior to. And these were new releases I had bought through their previews program where I figured I'd get first dibs on the higher grades....I got a Deathstroke 30 cover with a big color breaking crease across the top and ink blots across he title...no question it was not near mint... In the past if I noted a book that clearly left their shop damaged, they'd just refund me and not ask for it back...last go,around they offered me 20% off what I had paid as compensation..which wa like 40 cents since I had bought it through previews. Needless to say, going forward I'm looking for alternatives. Unknown comic books has shipped me some nice books grade wise, but they admit they are swamped with the recent hot titles and variant cover demands and they are digging themselves out of their backlogs. The three LCS's within 1/2 hr of me don't order heavy on variants...or weren't ordering lower print comics...so I was ordering these from midtown. But for super hot comics I still took a few hours off of work to travel an hour to an lcs that orders high volumes of new stock. Or sometimes they have a signed comic for cover price. Will check out atomic comics now...feel like moving away from midtown given their quality has in a downward trend from my experiences. |

| I've used Atomic Empire for a while and I've been really liked them so far. My only issue is that don't always ship in a box. I did get an order that took a big hit in shipping and damaged a bunch of books. They were very easy to deal with. I send them a message with some pictures and they immediately re-ordered the books they had in stock and credited me the ones they didn't. | ||
