So I've come across a Hulk 181,180 and 182 and Giant Size X-men that are coverless.

Someday I may spend big bucks on actual copies - what do we think is a reasonable price for coverless books??
The 181 is white pages and crisp (no bends folds etc) the GSX has rusty staples

I think all coverless comics are automatically graded a 0.3 by CBCS and NG by CGC.
So here are the grades - lowest being 0.5

Those are some crazy prices on the lower end for Hulk 181!! We'll see if I can pick these up for something reasonable

@KatKomics Yeah, if you can get them at hardly nothing then turn around and sell them to some crazy person on stealBay then go for it!

I would look to see if the Marvel Value stamp is there on the IH 181. Some one with a nice cover but a cut out on the stamp would find it pretty desirable.

Raw copies of Hulk 181 and GSXM 1 generally sell for about a $100 or so, on eBay.

Hulk 180...I'd say it's good for $20-$40.

Hulk 182...$10.

I'd say a reasonable BIN would be $125 + shipping for Hulk 180-182.

Or auction the 3 off at a $1 opener with free priority shipping. International buyers, I'd say should get a $10 discount on actual cost of shipping.

GSXM 1, I'd say you're better off selling that book by itself at $100 BIN + priority shipping....or just auction it at a $1 opener with free priority shipping, same exception to international buyers e.g. give them $10 off actual shipping price.

Edit:

I misread the first post....but anyway, those figures are my FMV estimates.

A coverless Hulk 181, with no value stamp, recently sold for $400.

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183077984589

I’d say this is way outside the norm, but I saw one with the stamp sell for around $300 a few months ago.

I’d say the current market on a coverless, complete Hulk 181 is in the $200-$250 range.

That does not surprise me. That book is on fire!

Wherever the charts came from, they are way off from reality. For ex, the price differential right now between a graded 9.6 and 9.8 Hulk 181 is at least 3X. Sad story while I'm here: I bought my Hulk 181 off a spinner rack at Ross Drug in West St. Paul. Even then, I knew to pick the copy near the back that did not have the spinner rack top staple bends the front copies have. In college (mid/late 80s) I needed money and sold it for 20 bucks.

I’ll be looking to buy a 4.0-6.0 at SDCC this year.

I’m hoping at least one seller has one that will be willing to make a deal.
