Not sure, I have to make the decision based off of these two pictures.

Then I'll stick w 8.5 but PQ may bring it down as they appear to be ctowp...but if you can get ow...then it's worth it (assuming you will have it certified).

That's a nice copy! I'd say anywhere from 8.0 - 9.0

Looks like an 8 to me but others here are probably better at grading. Looks to be a solid book.

Ok, I'm about to throw down $999 for it. Wish me luck...

I'm praying to the no restoration, no trimming gods, but worst case scenario Paypal has my back.

Thanks to everyone for their help!

I am at 7.0-7.5. Is it foxing or just marks from heat in the edges and spine?

I'm going to say an 8.0.

I think heat and not foxing.

6.5 is about break even for what I'm paying so I'd be happy with a 7.0 after grading. I personally am going with 8.0 OW.

O agree in the 8.5 area.

8.5 ish. Looks too darn good for that issue. Check it immediately for color touch.

If all goes well, it is a fantastic deal. Less than half the going rate. Heck, a 6.0 goes for more than you are taking about. Beautiful book.

I hope this works out for you.

Definitely! I'll send it for grading as soon as it arrives, and post the slab in about two to three weeks hopefully.

I’m going to say 7.5, because I think the discoloration on the back is probably foxing and that will drop the grade a bit. But the colors on the front cover are gorgeous! It’s grade will be at least 3X higher than my copy, maybe more.

I'm going to say 6.5-7.0, but only because I suspect the foxing may be more extensive than the scan shows.

If the foxing is as the scan shows, 8.0 tops I think.

Is that rust on the bottom staple?

Looks like partial rust on top staple with heavy rust on bottom staple.

Gotta check on my desktop to say much else....but rusted staples get hit hard by graders.

To my eyes whoever scanned this might have played with color balance. Just my two cents.

Yeah, on my desktop now....

Staple rust (heavy) bottom staple.

Lighter amount of staple rust on top staple.

It *appears*to be dry cleaned & pressd already.

If not, thee is little/to no room for a grade bump from pressing.

6.5 to 8.0 is my estimate, based on what I can see in the FC/BC scans, magnified on a desktop computer.

Pics of the interior 1st page and interior cover.

Same for BC/last page.

And a dead on unangled pic shot from a foot away, is really what you need to pin down grades with reliable accuracy.

This would be for the FC and BC.

And a pic of the c-fold, to see staple alignment and rust migration.

If you will be happy with a 6.0, go for it.

Scans invariably have visual distortions along the outer edges of books.
