It will be interesting to see what amount is bid for ALL WINNERS #4
CGC graded at 3.5 in Heritage's current weekly auction.
My copy is CGC graded at 3.0 (0199552001) was graded in January 2013.
This was the very first comic book I ever bought back in 1942.

That's awesome.
You must be in a very small group that can make that claim.
All of my first comics were discarded by mom as many others.

@martymann I'm not sure. But the "Martymann" copy should go for twice that... right....

Tough to say, Marty. That book doesn’t change hands very often. The last sale I could find for any copy of issue #1 was for a 6.0 copy in March 2022 for $285. The last 8.0 copy sold for $930 in August of 2021, when prices on all just about all comics went crazy. So the $650 price seems fairly reasonable.
Happy Holidays!

@martymann Well, you don't find that one laying on the ol' comic pile. Great piece. Reprints are even tough to find.

Thank you! Actually the cost of grading was more than the original purchase price
of my entire collection of 750+ books.
I remember this book being buried on the top shelf away from the eyes and fingers of
smaller kids...they always hid the EC's when they had them.

@martymann Wonder why the villains don't catch on fire when they get punched by the Torch. Only in comics does a flying man on fire punch someone and that person doesn't get burned...

I have never looked at this thread really. There are so many cool books I haven't ever seen. Really nice collection and story behind it. Nice to see someone who collected these when they came out. Thanks for posting them.
