I was ready to buy some plastic dividers for my books. I was leaning towards the Max Pro or the BCW brand. They both appear to be 30 point (thickness) boards and they are the ones that have the white writable tab that can fold down. They have a few different colors available. I was going to do Red for Marvel, Blue for DC and Black for other brands.I was thinking about doing all black too which are offered in larger packs at a more affordable price. Plus that would look sweet. The Max Pro are a bit cheaper in price and I was wondering if anyone can give me their experience between the 2 brands. Thanks Collectors.

I buy these 25-pack UltraPro white ones from Amazon, and print my own file labels for them (with color series and character logos for them)... These don't have a foldable tab, I don't think I'd seen those before.

I also find them really useful to have around when I'm sorting and filing.

I think I have some BCW and other ones mixed in, some of them black - I haven't really noticed a big difference in quality. Sometimes they have a curve to them, but I haven't had any real problems with using them.

Do they have them in sizes for slabs?

Good question - I remember searching a bit to look for other sizes, but I think I gave up.

They showed fividers that said TALL. Those must be for slabbed books.

The tall dividers are not for slabbed books. They are about 1/2 inch taller than the normal comic dividers, so the labels are easier to read. I got tired of searching for slabbed dividers so I made some out of foam-core. I would love to be able to find some dividers made for slabs.

It's probably a stupid idea, but you could take two of the plastic dividers and use packaging tape or superglue or something else to turn them into one taller divider.

Expensive and lame, and you'd have to worry about whatever adhesive approach you used off-gassing or getting sticky I guess.

Actually, you could try heating up one to the melting point in a few spots, and basically welding two together.

:/

I would still really like to know if there is any difference between the Max pro dividers and the BCW dividers. They have the write on tabs and can be folded over. They are both made of plastic and 30 thickness.
