no response. Might be for BLUE INK used on remainder copies.

I think you may be right, Marty. From the picture, it looks like there is quite a bit of distributer's ink all around that cover and even the inside pages.

I think the whole "RESTORED" grade is silly..."INCOMPLETE" a third of the cover is missing...hardly
worth a "SMALL AMOUNT OF COLOR TOUCH ON COVER" to RESTORE it.

Thanks. I am familiar with that area of PA. Very cool! (although I do find it funny they say "pristine" when some books are 6.0 etc..)

Seems like every collection of vintage books has to have a name these days. Not a fan of sticking a "name" to a few dozen books and calling it a collection. I mean, what would stop me from going to the attic of my house and claiming that I found a box of books that belonged to the previous owner who had stored them up there since he was a kid (they would be GA books of course). Then dubbing it the Southern Collection?

I mean why not right??

Hey, the better the story, the bigger the sales. Everyone loves a good story.

LOL, yes I hear you. It sounds like a good marketing strategy.. makes the collections seems like they are affiliated with a famous person et al. We should all begin to name our collections

Whatever happened to the Chinatown collection? (https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/8508/) I remember this being announced (yikes) 3 years ago.

I'd suggest Gray Area Collection (just teasing).

Personally, I think if owners want to attach a personal collection label on a slab it's fine if it's either discrete or has a good story behind it, but I'm a bit biased (Note: I don't usually post labels, but here's a vehicle that's both pedigreed and multiple owners who only drove it on Sundays!)...

@CatmanAmerica That's an interesting label. I wonder, at what point does the celebrity collection history stop mattering? After Edgar Church, do we really care about the rest?

It's all worth knowing as provenance whether it's included on the label or not, celebrity or not.

Here's an exceptionally rare example, CBCS label, not a pedigree, but Jon Berk was the prior owner and now me; it would be nice to know the earlier owner or collection status before Jon purchased the book as part of it's shared history, but that information is elusive...
