I remember both Bengals Super Bowls (1982 and 89), and both were losses against the 49ers. I was really hoping the 49ers would beat the Rams today so Cincinnati would have a chance at revenge. Regardless, I believe this will be Cincinnati's year.

Bengals earned it coming back like they did and staying in it to get the win, they played a better game than the Chiefs

I’m embarrassed to say that I didn’t watch the first game yesterday. I took a nap after church and didn’t wake up until halftime. When I saw that it was 21-10 Chiefs I figured it would be a good idea to do my taxes instead of doing them today. I got finished with that just in time to find out that the Bengals somehow came back to win the game😮. @Studley_Dudley I am excited for you, bro! I can’t even imagine what that feels like! After the Bengals won, I figured that their opponent would have to be the 49ers, right? Wrong! I guess mortgaging the future has paid off for the Rams. Looking forward to an interesting super bowl.

Has anyone else noticed the large number of playoff upsets and the proliferation of sports betting? An interesting coincidence for sure.

Upsets are great for the house @michaelekrupp, the betting public generally takes the favorite.

What I find amazing is how accurate the lines on the point spreads and over/unders are. The results usually come in right around the number.

@WMorse They definitely have some brainiacs figuring that stuff out! I am not much of a gambler myself. I figure I am happier WITH the dollar. Since sports betting has become legal here in MI, I have a lot of friends who are into it. I hear all about how they have big wins and $1000 weeks, etc., but when you press them the truth is that they are all down money overall. Perhaps the most heartbreaking gambling story I heard came from my brother-in-law back around Thanksgiving. He had made a relatively small bet but it was like a nine game parley. Had he won all nine bets he would have won about $120,000. 8 of the 9 came in. The one that screwed him? He took the Lions to beat Cleveland. They lost 13-10. Ouch!

@flanders my wife says they deliberately keep it a little bit cold in there to prevent people from falling asleep. I actually find church interesting. My problem is just getting up to get there. I usually don’t get off work until about 1AM on Saturday night, don’t get to bed until after 2 and then I have to get up early to make it to church. No wonder I often need a nap afterwards!

Agreed @michaelekrupp, you have to be right around 60% of the time just to break even on sports betting.

That is a tough way to make an easy living!

Washington Commanders. Meh. Boring, generic, uninspired, should have stayed as the Football Team if they weren't going to put a lot of effort into it.

Thanks! My expectations have been exceeded this season after win 7. I want a close game and preferably a Bengals win. I'm excited just for the experience of it all. It's a hefty price tag so this is really a bucket list kind of thing.

Maybe if I change my profile pic to the Lions logo I'll find myself in your situation next season.

I just don’t want OBJ to win. I dislike him, he’s an overrated biotch who is only relevant for that one catch against Dallas all those years back. Outside of that he’s a crybaby, and I don’t like what he did in Cleveland

Whats the over/under on how much money @Studley_Dudley spends on alcohol while inside the stadium?

One beer is probably going to run maybe $20.

So maybe an over/under of $250 for @Studley_Dudley?

Two beers. It's difficult to justify paying for several beers at a stadium unless it is a Thirsty Thursday kind of deal. If it's $8 for a beer at a Bengals game, I can only imagine the cost of LAs pretentious swill.
