I regret selling mine a few years ago. With any luck, my fortunes will change soon.
You can bet as Disney begins slipping x men intros into the cinematic universe, and we get in closer to actual release of the mutants project itself, that prices for those keys will only escalate and move higher. Alot will depend which team and set of x men are used, but the giant size seems like it will hold up regardless.

Disney ruined my life but I agree the book is a strong one. It will be like the nandrolone of my collection come early January. The price is agreed upon. The owner just wants to wait until after the new year due to tax purposes.

Best of luck with the purchase...I still remember back in the eighties I had a copy of the book, kept it a week and traded it back to the LCS...then the store across town had one, and made me a deal so I got that one and promptly traded it off. Finally the store got another one in and I kept it this time, but all three copies were less than a hundred each..why I did not keep them all I keep wondering....and I feel it is still vastly underpriced for what it is.
I hope your buyback goes well and you enjoy the book...I am fairly sure a year from now you wont be able to touch it all

I was going to say the same, only I'm just searching for the cover to More Fun #52. My second book is All American Comics #61 - 1st Solomon Grundy.

This is the one I could afford. I've always wondered if it would be worth getting the "restoration" removed?

Such a cool book - why bother removing restoration? From the brief notes it looks minor… and some (other than color touch) may be more conservation measures anyways…

@OGJackster I think damage would be done to the book to remove the tear seal and glue on the spine.

Nice book I'd keep as is 👍

GPA is all over the place with this one, but when you look at grades vs price...it shows the last 4.0 that sold for 1912 back in 2014

It shows a 5.o selling in 2012 for 2250

In march 2019 it shows a 5.5 that brought 15,500 however.
It seems like if you removed the tear seal and glue, that it would likely lose a grade or so and move down, to gain the non restored label. For me I would let it sit. Restored has become pretty uch accepted for golden age books

I’ve collected almost everything I really wanted, except Ultimate Fallout 4 Newsstand Edition in 9.4 or better. I suspect any chances I had at landing this one for cheap are long gone. Newsstand awareness is too high nowadays.
I had a direct edition 9.8 but sold it to help fund the Viper, which was a separate whale that I can happily check off the bucket list.

Nice! Selling a UF4 to help fund a purchase of a Viper is much better than say trading a TOS #39 for a set of rims right before it took off. I believe someone did that a few years back.

I'm afraid to look for "white whales" because it didn't end well for Captain Ahab. I've already caught several big fish without being pulled under; I don't wanna push my luck!

Congrats. I remember you chasing raw copies in hope of getting a high grade copy. Did you press this one yourself?

@kaptainmyke

I bought my copy that came out of Eastman's collection like a decade ago+-. I really can't remember the year I added it. I paid just over a grand for it. So, I'm sure I overpaid for it. However, it came out of Kevin's collection. So, I made the stretch. I have no idea what that book is worth today. One of the few comics I kept. Just couldn't part with it.

Beautiful... Love the color..

I Had a 2001... Drove it for 15 years and loved every minute.. Also had a 2005 Viper Truck which I just sold.. Arthritis taking over.. Doc says time to Idle it down.. had the knees and shoulder replaced so no more manual transmissions and being old school I love muscle cars with manual tranny's

Enjoy it.. But be careful until you get use to all that power.. they get squirrely fast..

Have a great New Year..
