| I’m helping an older collector prepare books for potential slabbing and sale. There are a few I’ve come across in his collection that have flaws I don’t see often and would like some opinions from the board. Each of these books has a minor sin or two, but nothing that couldn’t press out to make it a 9.8 (obviously excepting the flaws I’m about to post). Here’s a Hulk 449. Otherwise 9.8, but the cover appears slightly mis-cut. The interior pages protrude very slightly at the top of the cover. Pages and cover are flush at the bottom. Was hard getting a good picture…  Then I have a Thunderbolts 1 and a New Mutants 86. Both have foxing/dust shadow on the back cover. Both otherwise pressable to 9.8. Rarely see these flaws on Moderns. How badly with these affect the grades? Thunderbolts:  New Mutants:  Have my own thoughts, but would like to hear extra opinions.  Thanks!! |

| oh sorry, misread my opinion: no/little effect on the hulk, 1.5 - 2.0 drop on the other two |

| One pic of the Hulk book? Not sure what we're even looking at in that pic? I agree the Foxing will hold the others back |

| @BigRedOne1944 I could post more pics, but they’d all just be of the same thing. The book’s interior pages protrude above the edge of the cover, as though the cover was miscut just slightly too small. | ||
