Granted this is what the seller is asking for, and it’s the highest, but wow. |

Nothing surprises me anymore. Sports Card Collectors and Wall Streeters have entered the market and I've heard/read that they are buying up alot of 9.8 keys for ridiculous prices. Who knows how true, but it might be. |

The current market has me hardly buying any classic comics. It's absolutely ridiculous.

I don't get it either, a Thor #160 9.6 recently sold for around $700 why not have that and a pile of cash instead? Here's a link to the recent 9.8 sale: clickable text |

Quote:Originally Posted by DrWatson I don't understand it. I keep trying but all I can do is guess. To me, the Kirby/Sinnott Galactus pales in comparison to the Kirby/Colletta Galactus. So while FF48 is the prized 1st appearance, he's still kind of goofy (Galactus has that giant G on his outfit) compared to the one in Thor 160. But then why isn't Thor 134 booming along with 160? I'm overthinking all of it. It's probably as simple as--there are seven 9.8s in the census--so they're rarely available and some mega collectors went "I GOTTA HAVE IT." |

FOMO is real! Was on a livestream auction this weekend and a Jungle Action 5 raw in a 9.0-9.2 in seller's opinion went for $450! You can buy a slabbed 9.2 for $320.00 right now on Ebay! I guess it's great for sellers. Too bad Go Collect can't take into account books are going for on YouTube auctions, it would really increase everyone's PC's.
