Anyone know if the grading discount applies to raw grading? Or has anyone used previous promotions for raw grading?

To add to this does the discount apply to signature verification and grading combined? Referring to the promo below.

I was on the fence on sending in a few books...I can't wait 6 months though for pressing. How does the fast press work??

Is it like fast pass where my books would jump to the front?

@Murmonster past deals were grading only. They did have a verification promotion once.

@KatKomics yes, cuts pressing TAT in half. You jump ahead but not the whole line.

To be more specific, it works just like fast pass for grading but it doesn't also add fast pass for grading. If you get fast press only, grading will be at normal speed.

I would like to know this as well.

I decided to just test it and put in a raw grade comic then checked out far enough to put the code in. It accepted it, so presumably it's valid.

While testing I found something new though - I got a pop-up that I didn't use pressing with the option to add, not add, or learn more. I'm currently undecided as to how annoying that is.

@xkonk cool I have a bunch of Silver Age Daredevil, a few X-Men and Amazing Spiderman that I want to send in. Only would do it for raw grade though

@MutantMania I have a few iffy ones and sentimental books that seem good for raw grade.

I'm sending in three separate submissions tomorrow...1 is reholdering 7 slab only verified sig red label slabs...the 2nd is 8 silverage books. I forgot to input the newyearssaving promo code on the website but did add it to the invoice, hopefully the discount will be applied. The 3rd submission is 6 modern books (I did add the promo code on the website). Looking forward to getting these books back.

Trying to send in only 5 books....hopefully 1 for PC and others to sell....might have some where I have 2 of the same issue so maybe 1 to keep and 1 to sell but then do I do 1 or 2 for PC?? decisions, decisions. Also what could actually sell...

Think Aces High #1 in 7.5?? for PC?? but also maybe to sell...not many out there graded by either company.

Realization after having some caffeine this morning.... the website accepted the code even though I only had one comic on the order, not the five minimum. So maybe it isn't so smart as to know what it should apply to or not.

@xkonk - I always forget about the Raw Grading option! I could have saved a bunch of money on my submitted order from last month of a lot of sentimental, PC books that I have no plans to sell any time soon. Gotta make a note to self for next time.

I would expect the grading discount to apply to Raw Grade, it always has in the past. My experience is that it's best for pre-1975 books worth less than $200. For modern books the price different is often not enough to justify. Also keep in mind that you will not be able to sell Raw Grade books through MCS without them being opened and re-graded. Which is probably why I haven't used it in a while.

So if you had to pick from the following which ones would you pick? I am thinking about sending in at least 20 for raw grade.
I would say they range from VG - VF condition

Daredevil 10 - 39 / Avengers 49 / Conan 9 - 10, 36 / Ghost Rider 18 / Tales to Astonish 91
Amazing Spiderman 85 / Fantastic Four 113 / Sub-Mariner 16 / Adventures Into Fear 10 / Captain Marvel 27 - 28

I have more but these are just the ones I found recently

I have to as the saying goes...sh!t or get off the pot!!!

My province goes into emergency stay at home provision midnight tomorrow.
No leaving your house except for essentials i.e. groceries, medical supplies/appointments or exercise (i.e. you can go for a walk or run), it's all f'd up....can't g out except for essential but non-essential stores still available for curbside pickup...so will I get in trouble if stopped while going to a non-essential store?? (can I go get my comics from the LCS??!!!)

Even stores that are essential will have restricted hours 7am to 8pm

Will the CBCS Canada location still be open??? Do I maybe use FedEx to Dallas but with the CBCS Canada form so the return shipping is cheaper and doesn't get dinged with the BS FedEx brokerage charge??

Maybe I just skip this promo..although I have a 3 of the 5 books would have gone for sale due to eventual Morbius and Venom/Carnage films

Not if if it's true but my son claims that a mayor in Japan tried to insist that only men could be in the grocery stores during the pandemic. He said it's safer because men are quicker than women in the grocery store. I literally laughed out loud. Laughing again as I write it.

Question about sending in books with signatures and sealed with COA'S . I have about 5-7 books that are signed and sealed with COA'S and security stickers. They are from Comics Elite which is a authorised dealer for cbcs. I just want to make sure I fill out the form correctly.

@Mrbryceman - Unfortunately, once a book and it’s COA are in your possession, it becomes just a fancy piece of paper that neither grading company will honor, sealed or not. If Comics Elite is an authorized CBCS dealer, and they arranged a pre-approved signing, and then they submitted the signed books directly to CBCS, no COA would even have been necessary. Now, the signatures on the books will need to be verified by Beckett/CBCS.
