As we pass the gravy (or whatever fixins you have handy), what comic are you thankful for?

I'm thankful for X-Men getting me into the hobby and providing years of enjoyment, and for Unbeatable Squirrel Girl for giving me something to read with my daughter that gives her a good example of empathy and problem solving while also being funny for me.

ROM: Spaceknight

ROM got me into collecting. A few years ago in a used books store; A couple ROM covers grabbed my attention. The character and story are very cool and I’ve been addicted ever since🙃

Fantastic Four 150. It was the first comic I bought with my own money. I think I was in the 2nd grade.

Happy Thanksgivings everyone!!

I'm thankful for Gold Key Ripley's Believe It Or Not and Conan the Barbarian for introducing comics to me and fueling my imagination, and wonderful underrated comics like Camelot 3000 that I enjoy looking at and reading over and over.

The Daredevil storyline Born Again. I read these in the supermarket off the spinner racks when I was a kid. Blew my mind and got me hardcore collecting comics. I still have the books in my collection.

Since I quit working at 61, they have provided a steady income stream over the last year, as needed. Very Thankful for that.
Like Bill Gates example, they are appreciating faster than I spend them, so they will last to eternity, and beyond

I am thankful for my health and the health of most of my family and friends. I wish you all health and prosperity. And I hope I can continue to regularly receive packages of comics from CBCS, eBay sellers, my go to dealers, and especially you, my fellow forum friends.

I'm thankful for whoever bought me this when I was in the first grade. It's been all downhill from there.

I'm thankful for good family and friends. I'll be thankful to get that which shant be named results back so I know if I've been infected with that which locks threads. So, I spent Thanksgiving at home as a precaution (instead of going to my dad's) and should find out if I get two weeks off by Sunday/Monday. Stay safe and enjoy the holiday!

My Avengers #17.

It’s not a key or anything like that, but it was the first back issue I ever bought.

I found it at a flea market and saved up my cash to get it.

As a young kid, who was reading Avengers in the 200s, having one that low in numbers was cool to me.

I treasured that thing forever. My ex sold it or trashed it, along with most of my collection.

However, around early 2000s, I grabbed another to replace it. This one was even in better shape.

I was just going to keep it in the collection, but I finally broke down and decided to get Stan to sign it.

My son and I went, met him and got it signed.

My daughter asked if she could have it, so it’s a comic I got share with both my kids.

I can’t ask for more than that!

At the moment I'm particularly thankful for my magazine size and early TMNT that I bought with my $3.35/hr summer job around 1988. I can't even remember how many times I considered taking them to a convention and seeing if a dealer might give me $100 or so in trade credit. Somehow they survived transporting and garage storage for years and (for the moment at least) are worth more than I made working the entire summer of 1988.
