Like the title says looking to watch some good movies can be something newer or one of your old favorites. Recently watched these: The Old Guard, Shot Caller and Hereditary. If you have some others let’s hear them. |

If you liked Hereditary, you might like Midsommar, from the same director. It's another horror movie, less supernatural. Are you a Karl Urban fan? You should check out the version of Judge Dredd he stars in, much better than the horrible Stallone version.

If you like documentaries; Cropsy and Killing Season were interesting. Haven’t seen any recent movies. Looper ( Joseph Gordon Levitt / Bruce Willis) came up in conversation recently at work. I thought it was good. |

Overlord was fabulous. And if you like the WW2 zombie vibe then Frankenstein's Army is a great one. No CG which is amazing. Also Iron Sky is superb. Fanfic at its best. |

Hey Murmonster, Frankenstein's Army and Iron Sky are more "B" grade movies, but I generally like those better. The director for Frankenstein's Army, Richard Raaphorst has a website with allot of incredible artwork from several of his projects. Well worth a browse thru... https://www.richardraaphorst.com/index.html |

Recently watched the sci-fi movie Prospect with Mandalorian actor Pedro Pascal. It has kind of a Mad Max low budget Indie feel to it. The acting, set design and costumes were great. I think it's on Amazon Prime. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7946422/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_13 |

@Tdog13 @Nuffsaid111 Watched Midsommar last night still taking it in mentally. I now know that both Hereditary and this were by the same director can't say I liked one more than the other as both had different effects on me. I will say the director has put some disturbing stuff on film between the 2. Oh and yes I did like it. |

@Murmonster I agree. I really like movies that mess with your mind, make you think. There's also a place for pure escapism, but every so often, I need to see something "different." I also liked The Witch, but for some reason, only people who like non-traditional horror movies seem to like it. Do you like foreign films? Ichi, the Killer (crazy Japanese movie, directed by Miike, who had a small cameo in the movie Hostel) The Audition (Japanese, horror movie, non-supernatural) Train to Busan (Korean, standard fare zombie-type movie, well-done) Tampopo (Japanese, comedy, about food) And many Kurosawa films, especially Yojimbo (westernized as A Fistful of Dollars) and The Seven Samurai (westernized as The Magnificent Seven). His works influenced Star Wars, which if you break it down, is nothing more than a Samurai western set in space |

@EbaySeller not that surprising. I read an article a few months ago about how a kid in juvenile hall was given estrogen against his will and without his parents consent, to help with anger issues, and started to grow tits. An orphanage with it's own pharmacy seems disturbingly realistic.
