SUPERMAN: THE MAN OF STEEL #3012893

PEDIGREED... Again! martymann private msg quote post Address this user
While this polybagged edition has little value other than being
the "FIRST EVER DO-IT-YOURSELF COVER" it is a very clever concept.
Along with the comic book the polybag contains a sheet of vinyl
clings used to decorate the cover. All of the title art plus
SUPERMAN punching LOBO are printed on the polybag making it part
of the entire presentation.
If you were to have this book encapsulated would it include the
polybag and the vinyl clings?

No, it's my understanding that they won't encapsulate the polybags or any loose articles (glasses, cards, etc) that came with the book.

I really wish they would find away. I've got a set of Death of Superman comics that are signed, but signed on the Polybag. I'd like to get them sent in and have the sigs verified and encapsulated, but if I sent them in, I would lose the polybag and sig.

after sending in some reholders across the street I got this notice. This is also a new message since I sent some in a month or 2 ago and this did not popup. Putting stuff in the slab is just asking for more trouble. I also feel new slabs are causing issues for both companies...just conjecture though

@KYoung_1974 is correct in that CBCS will not encapsulate them with the book.

I wonder if Beckett would encapsulate them. I know they have a holder large enough for comics (magazines, actually and why CBCS hasn’t adopted it as a stopgap at least until they get their own magazine solution figured out is beyond me) but I can’t find a service for it aside from autograph verification

@the420bandito Care to elaborate on your conjecture? CGC’s slab woes are well documented but I haven’t heard of any troubles stemming from CBCS’ new slab

I understand that they might not include the vinyl clings in
the holder but my main question is will they keep the polybag
on the book when placing it in the holder?

Most of the cover artwork and titles are only on the polybag.

@martymann

Good question.

I’m gonna guess and say they won’t include (but they should).

I don’t understand why there is a question. It’s right on the website, regardless of what is printed on the bag

The GXS1 damage thread - both companies new slabs are bending overhangs. This was never an issue before with either company.
