My submission (Warlock) is also the one doing the beat down. Although, considering the mountain of villains our hero is dealing with, he is looking a little BEAT (tired).

LOL! πŸ‘ It works!!

Johnny, where are your buccaneers?

Thought about this one for a wolf cover.. but Alas it's a Giant Dog.. I really liked this cover as it pertained to the story.. Liked the comic stories but the Disney TV version kind of sucked.. I Did like the Agents of Shield version though..

Is Lockjaw really a dog or another Inhuman?

The short story is He’s a inhuman giant bull dog that has transporting (teleporting) capabilities. Also a protector of the clan.

I don't care much for bull dogs but Lockjaw rocks! There was a limited series about 12 years ago that starred Lockjaw and some other animals... Dog Avengers, or something like that? Anyway, that was a fun read.

@flanders, there are some of us that love moderns. Could you imagine a cover contest that required a book less than 2 years old? In my comic book America I would cast a modern cover contest so all collectors could participate

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
You'd get a bunch of cover swipes of old books anyway

Just a couple of testicles at the base of a rocket, nothing unusual about that design, lol. Maybe they hold the seed for when they find a fertile new planet to colonize.

What a great cover on the Weird Science. Full of intrigue and potential...exactly what a comic book cover needed to be in the days before pre-orders and pull lists. Good choice for a homage.
Just grabbed the lower grade copy I was able to find on MCS.

The theme this week is lightning, and I thought about this cover. The book came out approximately 25 years before 9/11, but looking at it still has an effect on me and makes me think about that day.

In ALL AMERICAN WESTERN his horse is named BLACK LIGHTNIN'.

Here's a piece of published original art where the hero has wings. I felt I was lucky to win this piece on eBay a few years ago. This is page 6 from Captain America: Sam Wilson #6, April, 2016. It is of Joaquin Torres before his role as Falcon. He is battling the Serpent Solution: Viper, Bushmaster and King Cobra.

This is the published page.

I am having second thoughts on my Nick Fury cover for this week's contest. Should I leave it, or go for more people with all their guns a blazing?
