@D84 That's certainly a shame but thanks for taking one for the team! Hopefully someone puts out a better version of this product at some point

If they just fix the clips, I'd be happy. For me, it's a nice looking display. I've already started designing the custom Nightwing label.

I actually ordered a five pack for a display I want to do. Now I'm trying to find a couple dozen cheap stands to display them with on a shelf. I'll also be displaying a bunch of comics in toploaders, all with the same cover theme.

I heard back form them quickly. He said he'll send me replacement parts free of charge (I did offer to pay) and is looking into a more flexible plastic for the future. If they fix the plastic on the clips, I'm sold.

I did it with photoshop. If you have that software, I can send you the PSD file.

I'm also working on a Batman one.

Ok - so I've been working on a couple of these for a display I'm working on. I agree the strips are hard to put on the first time. I found a trick though. If you feel the edges of the slabs, there can be some rough spots and they seem to coordinate where it is hard to fasten to edges. So I took an xacto knife and CAREFULLY ran it along the edges a few times to shave it a bit. This helped it tremendously!! Anyway, I like the fact that I can swap out comics in these. I made a very generic themed label for them. I'd be happy to answer any other questions. Here are a couple scans of the two books I've done so far. My scanner is not large enough to get the whole thing, so the bottom of the holder is cut off.

I got my replacement parts and it's now fine. They also sent in a sample of the clear backing boards.

@D84 "Dig These!"? I feel like you may be trying to tell us something

I didn't say "Dig These!", so I'm not sure what you are saying.

@D84, @dielinfinite was making a joke because the back cover of your Batman says "Dig These!"

@D84 What's your opinion of the backing board? How thick is it compared to a full back? I'm wondering if two of these could be used front and back in a mylar as a cheap "mini-slab"?

@DarthLego one word - plexiglass!! Check out your local Lowes or Home Depot!!

I actually work with Plexiglas from time to time at work. I hate cutting the stuff. I would also be concerned about acid content.

I got bored and made this for my Batman 9, in case I want to use their slab, now that it's free from it's CGC cage.

I also did this one with a different Batman logo from the same time period.

@DarthLego: The board is very sturdy, and they tell me it's a non-acidic, but I'm not sure how to test it. If anyone knows how, I'll gladly try it.
