It appears that the 4.5 graded copy was sold for $2,750.00 on
COMICLINK...guess the estimated value for my copy of $2,500.00
was a little low.

This MARVEL FAMILY which Nostomania lists a CGC value of $1,750.00
might very well increase in value and become "my most valuable".

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user

The first comic I bought with my dad after he burned 1000 of my books for taking a centerfold to school. It was at a flea market mid 70's and it was the first book that started my re-collecting with a vengeance. Probably worth 3.00 but I'll get buried with it

@Watcher - I always meant to ask, do you remember what issue got you busted? What was the Centerfold’s name?

Still haven't seen anything come close to the theoretical value of my X-Force #1. Try harder Gentlemen.

HAHAHA..no brother...I don't...all I remember is red hair - everywhere...which explains my penchant for red heads these days

Seriously, though, if you submitted enough copies & got a 10.0, I wonder what it would go for?

How Classically Cool!

As I stated earlier, I'm not a sig collector, but would I crack open my ASM 1 if I had the opportunity for a Ditko sig?... HELL YEAH!. But on the splash page of course.

Of course.

The completest in me would rejoice for the historical significance not to mention the added value. However I have come to accept it will most likely never happen.

I don't want to completely divert the attention away from the OP topic but for what can be said about Ditko's impact on the medium, I just cant wrap my head around why he doesn't sign anything ever! Not to bash the guy, to each is own but he could offer a limited amount of signatures every year. Even if he didn't want to keep the money for himself, he could freaking hand it down to his kids or family or charity. Idk, I respect his contributions as a creator but I think some of his personal philosophies are strange and bleak.

I understand his point of view and I share it to a large degree. I do sign things, but only because I've signed documents at work hundreds of times per day as part of my job 5 days a week for 20 years. I can't get around that.
