Here’s the link to the Press Release

Superman was just added to the National Film Registry along with 24 other films including Die Hard, Dumbo, The Goonies, Memento, Spartacus, and Titanic.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe this makes it the first comic book super-hero feature film on the list, with the exception of the Flash Gordon serials, which aren’t features.

The National Film Registry isn’t necessarily a list of the best American films, but of films that are “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant films, showcasing the range and diversity of American film heritage to increase awareness for its preservation.”. The films must be at least 10 years old to wualify for the list.

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user

@BabaLament While I do prefer the Burton films myself, next year will mark the 10th anniversary of The Dark Knight so I think it has a good chance of being inducted next year
