Anybody know anything about this guy? Found it legit in a sandwich bag at the local pawn shop. 10c cover price figure it had to be old and it was 2.50 as they were running a sale!

Prince Variant was a Golden Age character popular around the same time as Flash Gordon. Started out as a comic strip I believe.

Truly some of the finest artwork to appear in the Golden Age of
Sunday newspaper comic strips.

Impressive facial expressions and color for that era! Definitely can feel the suffering. Wonder who the primary pencil and inkers were. . .??

What in the new obsession?!?

Perspective and highlights are some of the best I've seen for straight ink!

Look at the highlights on the leather on the horse and the helmet!

Doesn't look like there were any. There were two price points from issues in the 770 - 900 that had a 10 cents price and a 15 cents price but Prince Valiant was not appear to have been one of the books with a 15 cents version.
