Whatever you do... DO NOT show these to Eric Larsen. He has already created enough ineffective controversies in Savage Dragon.

Now that's interesting...how so many different people like the same thing but for completely different reasons.
7 billion people & no 2 are exactly the same because of all the DNA that makes them up from ALL their different ancestors.
Are these books for history purposes or educational?

Actually, I won't comment for fear of getting this thread locked and deleted. Let's just call it a bleak time in history.

For me, this brings to mind all the current commentary about the Social Justice Warriors (SJW) in comics books now...

Fact is, sociologists and comic historians (I'm both) have long viewed comics as a sort of imperfect or distorted mirror of the cultural norms, beliefs and thinking of the general public. Imperfect, because it was editors and publishers - mostly old white men - trying to tap into what they believed their readers believed, were concerned about. Kirby said as much about his fourth world titles at DC when interviewed in the early 70's by the NYT magazine. He was a 50 something trying to connect with 20 somethings.

So during WW II you had all the patriotic themed propaganda comics. Then you had the Red Scare anti communism. And drugs and how they were viewed. You can track the progress of women in comics by Lois Lane. The 40's and 50' and into the 60's she spent all her time scheming how to get Superman to marry her. What else did women do after all? But then the late 60's on she became more - in fits and starts - an empowered woman, just fine without a husband.

Books posted here are great stuff. No chance of any lock. Unless of course a couple of boardies hijack it by arguing with each other endlessly

gh4901 had that sales thread with "Is this Tomorrow" in it. I've become obsessed wit getting that book as well as all the other socialism is coming to get me titles. It's become a mainstream fear again so that can only mean good things for their value.

Hansi is actually the story of a former Nazi girl turned US church lady and its basically about turning to God.

If anyone is trying to sell these types in decent grades post em up.

@Jeremy_K One reason I like the book is that it takes a total left turn from the cover.

I sold this copy a few months back for $200. Also, I've sold two raw copies that were in NM 9.4 for between $100 and $130. Currently, I have two other copies being graded by CBCS as we speak. They don't necessarily sell quickly -- but they do sell. They are not very common, so they're kinda worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for them.
