That franchise is dead in the water for Fox. Marvel could make a deal like they did for Spidey and borrow characters for their films

"...but I don't buy the story."

That would probably be MY problem with this movie. I didn't buy it in the comic books either. Seemed so contrived to create sales across titles...which, funny thing, makes me drop titles.

Batman has always been my favorite character. Especially crazy, upset, possibly homicidal Batman. Second favorite has always been Iron Man because he's not based on magical or mutant powers (more Science Fiction based). Not that I don't like regular super heroes, but I've always been more attracted to those that were more human (like Bats and IM). Third favorite was always Deathlok. lol I liked his origin story.

I think Batman is the best superhero creation. The character is well developed (in recent years), origin is great, villains are great.

+1

As much as I love Tick and appreciate his shenanigans, Batman will always be my favorite serious character for the reasons you've mentioned.

Are you guys fans of the show Gotham?

I absolutely love it, it's been so much fun to see so many characters come to life. I also think they are doing a great job with the writing. As incredible and celebrated of a show Daredevil is, I'd much rather watch Gotham for the characters and stories. With the exception of Jada Pinkett Smith I think the are nailing it with the casting selections. I recently added this to my collection. :whee:

His main villain is an insane clown with no super powers. Meh.
I suggest an insane clown could be easily defeated by an old lady with pepper spray.

I see that the "Loyalty" thread has been locked and moved, with the snide note "You know why" attached to it.

Just another example of the immensely unprofessional behavior of Kevin (Architecht) and his team. Treating posters like children, and then having the nerve to rail on me for being forthright.

Oy.

Something to ponder...

Marv Wolfman was the Geoff Johns of the 1980's.

Chris Claremont was the Brian Bendis of the 1980's.

Dell'otto is certainly interesting, but he hides a lot of his mistakes in darkness, hoping for a "dramatic effect"...and it certainly works.

Jusko has an interesting, quasi-realist bent to all of his work.
