| How do you make the decision to have a book graded? Is there some kind of bookmark like pure value of the book or something? I'm having a couple of my Walking Dead books graded just because of value. I have some books that are of lesser value but have significance to a character i.e. Secret Wars #8, is that worth grading? | @Sblumberjack personal preference really. Some people slab worthless books just because they hold sentiment, otherwise just to protect a valuable, resale, etc. plenty of math to play around with as well in terms of resale or investing. And then there are some that dont want to even own a book unless its graded. Welcome to the forum  |

| @Sblumberjack my personal rule of thumb, the fair market value after slabbing in the grade it's likely to get needs to be more than raw value plus grading fees. I'll also do so for sentimental books, commissioned sketch covers, autographed books. | ||
