I think you have 24 hours to edit the post, including add/delete photos...

I was wondering why you were taking these picture in the fog...or through a fish tank...

Thanks. That was an upgrade for me on the XMen #35. I will be re-posting all the photos later on.

OK. Let me try this again. Here are the books that I picked up at a live auction yesterday. There was crazy money spent on the keys that I just could not win. However I was really pleased with the books that I did win. It was also my son's first auction. We had fun and he snagged a nice Nova #1 and some Miller Daredevil books. He also got an X Men#39 which he regretted. So I needed that one for my run. He was happy to get a nice Ghost Rider#3 and #9 in a trade with me today.I had fun putting this bunch in some Mylar4 bags and Full Backs. I was happy to put my son's Nova #1 in Mylar for him. His first Mylar worthy book. He is now on his second half box.

I picked up Moon Gurl 1 variant by Trevor Von DOOM and I can't decide if I should keep it or not.

You think MG&DD has got legs?

Congratulations on being able to pick up some nice looking books Brian!

Its also nice to see younger kids still finding interest and joy in comic books like your son.

The REAL story here is not necessarily the books, but the time you spend with your son enjoying them.

That's priceless and something no amount of money can buy.

regards
John

One of my favorite Romita Covers back in the day. It was an impulse buy (ain't they all?)

I'll buy them all day long for 80 bucks!

I agree. It was much more fun having my son with me. He was pretty proud of his Nova book. He showed both his older brothers the book and they approved of his find. It was also fun to make the first serious trade with him.

Trading with your son? Let me know how you manage that. Whenever my little guy finds one of my books that he likes, he tells me it belongs to him now. Last time he decided a book was his, I suggested a trade. He said, "ok, I'll compromise. I won't take everything. Right now"
I was burned out on collecting until I got him into it. Now, I'm having more fun with it then ever before.

@VaComicsGuy Over the last few years I would give him some of my doubles that I thought he would like. He bought a lot of his books at comic book shows though. I gave him a few different titles of Rebirth #1's that I went crazy and bought multiples of.The thing that I like is that he is a reader and enjoys reading them. The collecting part of it eventually happened.

My kids read every night before bed. 4 nights a week, we pick what they read. The other nights, they read whatever thay want. My younger son asked to read some of my comics so I let him. He enjoyed it and started collecting. I took him to a show and he was hooked.

Thanks again. They look great. Probably won't bother pressing them. I'll most likely leave them raw. I'm glad to finally have them.

This is new in my collection - just got in the mail today.....don't know why I bought it.
Opportunistic - only $22. Seem to remember some hype a while ago - obviously cooled off.
No idea who this livewire person is - meh!
