| Since the other thread maxed out, I've decided to start a new one. Here's the other Fantastic Fours I mentioned in prior thread that come from the same collection as the #53 I posted earlier. Super sweet clean books that really pop. Look how clean those back covers are. I really thought these two were really close to the same grade, so the grade point difference was a little surprising. I can't access the grader notes yet for these two for some reason, but I knew they obviously were not as nice as the #53 that got a 9.0. Still, I think it's interesting they got 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0 respectively. Enjoy!    |

| I've been on a bit of a spending spree lately. Let me share a few of the comics that I've acquired so far this year. I'll start at the beginning. I picked up this raw copy of ASM #5 on eBay. I think I overpaid for it, but it helps fill in my early Spidey collection. It'll be sent in to CBCS the next time I submit.  |

Next up is a copy of Superman's girlfriend Lois Lane #17. As far as I know, it holds the second appearance of Brainiac. A bit of an undervalued key in my opinion. Yet another eBay buy. Don't worry, I got it cheaper than the price on the sticker. |

| These next three I got at the East Bay Comic Con this year. It's a smaller con but there were some cool dealers there. These first 2 I got, again just to fill in the holes of my ASM collection.  I already owned the "Heroes and Villains" variant, but I wanted the "Friends and Family" cover too. Found a decent copy at a fair price.  And the last is a CGC copy of The Killing Joke. I talked the dealer down to fair market value for it and walked away happy.  |

This is more of a shout out to my LCS. This death of hawkman cover B by Bill Sienkiewicz is already going for about $20 on eBay and is sold out everywhere I look. It just came out on Wednesday. I called my LCS on Wednesday morning when I saw Midtown comics was already sold out and they set one aside for me. Other LCSs wouldn't let a hot variant just go out the door. They'd put them online or hold them for friends, stuff like that. Earned more loyalty points in my view. |
