To me, the STREET & SMITH Comics had a different look to them.

This type of art is appealing in a few ways. I love the clean cut clear almost cartoonish linear drawing style yet you can see the planning and detail the artist had to put into it. Comic art a tough job....

@Pre_Coder it's fun to "zoom" in on that drawing. The tubes and dials are too cool....

THE BARKER was a unique comic book character with enjoyable
stories...a lot like PLASTIC MAN.

One of the last GA comics I bought...this one directly from EC.
I was stationed in Key West and read about this issue in a magazine.
I sent a letter to Fables Publishing along with 25-cents to cover
cost and postage requesting a copy of this issue. I was pleased a
few weeks later to receive it...only wish I saved the mailing envelope from EC.

Except for the rough edge on the front cover, which for some
reason maybe moisture stuck to the back page of another comic,
is in pretty good shape.

It was difficult to keep track of titles on the newsstand.

IDEAL from Spring 1946

IDEAL from September 1948

Not the average cover on the newsstand.

In the Statement Of Ownership published in this issue,

Tough task, Marty. Sooo many great ones to pick from. I kind of like them raw to be honest. Maybe an ultra clear top loader or othere form of display?

Thank you for your suggestions but the main reason for me having them
graded is preservation and potential value for those receiving them
as gifts. Believe me, the majority of my collection will remain raw.
