| A theme will be chosen each week, participants must find a comic book cover that fits the theme. - One entry per person. - Must be a real comic book in circulation. - Magazine size books are also okay. Each week we will vote on who had the best cover. - Friday begins the new contest. - Wednesday at 12 noon EST is the cutoff and voting will begin and go through Thursday. - Please vote through the built in "Thumbs Up" system. One vote per person. The winner will choose the next theme and begin a new thread. - In the event of a tie, the deciding factor will be if your photo was of a book in a CBCS slab. If both books are not in a CBCS slab then there will be a sudden death tie breaker overtime submission by both contestants. - Repost these rules in your new thread to keep them easy to find and for new folks who want to play. Week 18 - The Kiss Week 19 - Iconic Vehicles Week 20 - The Punch Week 21 - Smoking Week 22 — Politics Week 23 - Cover Homage/Swipe Week 24 - Master of Evil/The Villain  A Villain (also known as the "antagonist", "baddie", "bad guy", "heavy" or "black hat" ) is an "evil" character in a story, whether a historical narrative or, especially, a work of fiction. The Villain usually is the antagonist (though can be the protagonist), the character who tends to have a negative effect on other characters. A female villain is occasionally called a villainess. Random House Unabridged Dictionary defines villain as "a cruelly malicious person who is involved in or devoted to wickedness or crime; scoundrel; or a character in a play, novel, or the like, who constitutes an important evil agency in the plot".  The Week 24 theme is dedicated to my favorite big baddie, Darth Vader. To honor the Dark Lord of the Sith you shall hereby go forth and submit your best comic covers featuring one of your favorite villians.  |
