1955 E.C. Publications CRIME SUSPENSTORIES #1. Premiere issue. Low-Medium grade. Unrestored. No color touch. 2 tears on outside edge of front cover, causes cover to curl upwards. Spine wear with several color breaks. Cover attached at both staples. Vertical subscription line creasing. Minor creasing, soiling, oils, dirt and debris on front cover. Date stamp on back cover. Price tag was removed at some point upper right corner front cover. Light bumps and waves on front cover. Centerfold attached at both staples. Spine has bumps, edgewear, Back cover has staining, several wavy bends, and few crease lines. Staples not rusty. Very, very cool book!

I've always had a soft spot for beater copies. For the really old books, I prefer these to high grade. They have a character to them that beautiful copies don't.

Alas, the downside to focusing on high-grade GA is it usually reflects a smaller collection unless your name pops-up in Forbes Magazine (...and mine doesn't).

Unfortunately, it is not the one with the crossed out black bar on the interior front cover. Believe, me, I know of that one....I will have one someday.




BUT, it is odd there is a huge white gap on that page though

Book is attached at both staples on cover and centerfold. 1/4" triangle missing from outside upper corner on front cover. Tiny 1/8" triangle hanging on for dear life outside lower front corner. Book has evidence of contact to moisture.
