| WOW, I didn't know anything about the passing of Wilbur till just now. Mr. Ed, fuc*spoon*king rules!!! It's right up there with "Star Trek", the original series. I think it was the pot smoking college kids that kept "Star Trek" and "Mr. Ed" alive, but both series quickly began falling short on the Neilson Ratings because the youngsters couldn't grasp it and the elders were more interested in Bonanza, Gun Smoke, The Big Valley, Hillbillies, Hee Haw,... which were all epic classics indeed! Jeez, and how many more?... Dream Of Genie, Bewitched, Gilligan's Island. But "Mr. Ed" set itself apart from all the rest, and IMO never received the credit it deserves. | ||

| Here's another classic post-war Cap that's no longer in my collection. It presents better than the 7.5 grade, but had a bit of silverfish or other bug damage along the top edge on BC. Acquired through Metropolis as part of the Super Soldier collection at SDCC. Kinda regret letting this'n slip away (may try locating the current owner and buying it back someday if I don't locate a replacement in high grade). Love the Shores cover...  |
